About Us


Founded in 1976, the West End Sports Association (WESA) has helped thousands of kids in Montreal's south west and west end boroughs discover their potential through sports and mentoring programs, designed to keep at-risk youth aged six to 17 off the streets and encourage them to stay in school and out of trouble. WESA’s goal is to continue to spread nationally we have started with exchange programs and volunteers in Ontario, Halifax and British Columbia.

Pencil Plus System

Teaching kids requires the involvement of the whole community.Teaching positive values, promote self-confidence and encourage the development of character values such as teamwork, respect, responsibility, fair play, and perseverance.


Right Take Action

The experience of volunteerism can help develop many social competencies – identity development, compassion, sense of agency (realization of one’s ability to make a difference, leadership, confidence and self-esteem. Volunteerism enhances work marketability and increases chances for college acceptance.
